Alzheimer's and associated dementias are degenerative illnesses that impair cognitive function and get worse over time. Many elderly with Alzheimer’s also have Sundowner’s Syndrome. The early warning signs of these disorders, which include memory loss, disorientation, trouble doing routine tasks, misplacing belongings, diminished judgment, social disengagement, and mood or personality changes, might interfere with day-to-day functioning.
